Our Approach
Fee-only service model

Financial’s "Fee Only" service model requires that we offer no additional
products or services and accepts no commissions or third-party compensation – just an
hourly fee. We are paid only for the assistance and advice we provide. Because we do not
sell products or manage assets, our guidance is straightforward, objective and free from
any potential conflicts of interest regarding compensation.
Listening to your needs and goals
We base our consultation on the patient, careful attention we
pay to our clients’ needs and goals. The idea is not for us to impose what we think
is best. Clients have different ways of looking at things. Our advice is the conclusion of
an active listening process. We probe and ask questions, we make sure our clients are
aware of the issues and implications and how they affect their financial situation. We
make sure there’s more than one solution for them to choose from.
Collaborative Divorce
Because of our intention to minimize the damage of marital
dissolution, we are advocates of collaborative divorce, a relatively new form of divorce
resolution in which both parties’ professionals – legal, financial, and
therapeutic – work together to settle the case amicably. Most couples and divorce
professionals would benefit from learning more about the collaborative-divorce process.
Divorce is not a happy process to begin with, but this can provide an outcome that’s
best for the whole family.
Our approach is a holistic one: We consider all factors, not
just those that pertain to our services. For example, if we see the need for therapy,
we’ll address it. We also have concern for the welfare of our clients’ children.
We try to help our clients limit the impact of their divorce on their children. |
